Nicola McDowall, LLB is a Certified Specialist, Franchise & Distribution Law, by The State Bar of California Board of Specialization.Having been General Counsel of a publicly held franchisor and developed that system and its intellectual property portfolio from 14 states of the U.S. to nationwide and from 17 to 52 countries in five years. Nicola has the ability to provide her clients with a unique perspective on the issues and demands that owners, sellers and buyers of businesses face in the sale, purchase, financing and operation of their businesses. Commencing her corporate legal career in London in the 80’s, Nicola has represented venture and development capitalists, international joint ventures, target companies and acquisitors in diverse industries. Working both as in-house and out side counsel these experiences bring a wealth of practical business skills and creativity to the legal process.
