Marina L. Lang, JD, specializes in the litigation of intellectual property matters.  She also assists clients  in the creation and management of trademark and copyright portfolios and the enforcement of these rights nationwide.  She has represented large companies, start-ups, and individuals alike on the legal protection of intellectual property, trade secrets, and other proprietary information.  She has represented clients such as Priceline.com, Hotwire.com, Mead Johnson & Company and GM, Ford, Chrysler.  She has also successfully managed the intellectual property needs of individuals including computer software engineers, doctors, fashion designers, visual artists, and musicians. Ms. Lang has represented businesses, both small and large, in complex litigation proceedings from initiation to trial, gaining extensive experience in depositions, motion practice, oral argument, and trial preparation, both in state and federal court, across the United States. Ms. Lang served as a White House Intern and graduated cum laude from Duke Law.  While in law school, Ms. Lang served on the Executive Board for the Duke Law and Technology Review, a highly regarded intellectual property publication. She has also published several articles, which have been cited by others as leading intellectual property authority, including: "Different Strokes: Ninth Circuit Brushes Off City's Attempt to Restrict Street Art," (American Bar Association Media, Privacy, and Defamation Law Committee, October, 2007); "The Legal Smack Down on Music Sampling: Is the Age of Hip Hop Over?" (American Bar Association Media, Privacy, and Defamation Law Committee, July 2006); "What, if any, Are the Ethical Obligations of the U.S. Patent Office?: A Closer Look at the Biological Sampling of Indigenous Groups," (Duke Law & Technology Review, May, 2006).   During her free time, Ms. Lang volunteers as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for abused and neglected children.  She also enjoys spending time with her son and husband and is an active swimmer.
